Voting Results
The Special Homeowners meeting was able to be held on Monday, June 22nd as planned as a quorum was established since there were 52% of the homes represented either in person or by proxy. Unfortunately, our documents require an approval of 66% of the entire 220 homes in our subdivision to make any modification to our documents so none of the three issues had a chance of passing. Below are the results of the 52% voting quorum:
Item 1: Should language be added that would permit a single yard-size political sign per home for a period of two weeks prior to an election until the day after the election? 54% of the homes were in favor while 46% of them were against allowing one political sign.
Item 2: Should the language pertaining to the membership of the ARB Committee be clarified to allow more than three members? 85% of the homes were in favor while 15% of them were against changing the language so there could be three to five members on the ARB.
Item 3: Should language be added to the documents that would place a minimal set of guidelines to follow when renting home in Cypress Landing? 83% were in favor while 17% were against implementing the suggested rental restrictions.
